"Our connection request has failed"

Hi!
I downloaded and installed the game, everything was a-okay, but then it won't let me play. When I try to log in, the game tells me that "Our connection request has failed :c". This isn't new to me, actually all multiplayer games I ever tried to play don't work for me. I guess it's probs something with firewall (I'm connected to my school's server), but I have really no idea how to bypass... the stuff... u have to bypass... or something.
It's a real pain, since I basically can't play any of the games I want to play If anyone knows anything, please help T-T Thanks~

 

you probably have a firewall/internet security blocking the connection!
i'd try running the game as an administrator, if that doesn't work unfortunately i wouldn't know what software you're using or how to bypass the blocked connection

 

Tried that, didn't work. Also tried to turn off firewall in AVG but it didn't do anything either :I

but as i said i wouldn't know how to bypass the blocked connection which is preventing you from connecting to the game server, have you tried rummaging through some of the help threads to see if there's already a solution to your problem?

 

I searched in other game's forums too, there's no simple solution for me. From what I read, I need to open some firewall ports manually or use proxy or whatever.. I'll try something when I have more time.

in case anyone has the same problem or whatever, i think I kinda fixed it?? not really?? i tried??
anyway, i got a VPN. I got to the character creation page without errors, then i got into the actual world. No one else was there, but since I was actually connected to the server, I guess I'm in the wrong timezone I can't connect agin and idk why. Either the VPN is acting up (its a free VPN so I wouldnt be surprised lol) or the server is having problem rn.

How did you get it to work? I have been failing connection for a few days?

 

@Flutters I downloaded Hotspot Shield, somehow got it to work (i have no idea how I did it), turned it on and it worked. Now it doesnt work tho, so idk whats wrong. :/
