Making presets in Paint tool SAI

This is NOT A HELP topic, if you've got a problem that does not relate to making a preset in SAI please post it in either Game Help or Website Help regarding the problem!

I think you'll be glad to know you do not always have to download gimp to make presets and adjust to a fiddly program you've never used before. Here's some tips for SAI users!

Just like in GIMP, you can:
    a) Make scrolling, transparent, glowing etc presets
    b) Make presets with a fur texture

    Links:
please refer to this topic for codes
how to make a preset (topic)

    Creating a scrolling/transparent preset:

    1. Open up your UV and colour to your heart's content on a different layer, my example here is very plain. I personally put the UV layer on top and change the mode to multiply, which we shall discuss on the fur texture tutorial later on.

    2. Select the eraser function and erase the parts you'd like the scrolling/transparent areas to be. Feel free to experiment with the 'density' of your rubber for the scroll function (the UV will make bits of it look grey as you can see!).

    3. Make sure your erased layer has no other layer underneath it.

    4. Create a plain layer (just 1) and hide it by pressing the eye so it doesn't show on the layer tab. Press file > export as .png (it MUST be .png to work) > select the '32bpp ARGB (each pixel have opacity)' and save it under the correct name. Honestly, it's that easy.

    Applying a realistic fur texture:

    1. You can apply fur texture at any stage, whether you've just started or just finished! I love to work along with the fur texture so I apply it very early on. Firstly, find the texture you want and paste it (make sure it pastes on another layer which it automatically should).

    2. Next, click on the fur layer and find the 'Mode' above the layer boxes and select 'multiply'. I also use this with the UV, it becomes 100x easier to work with.

    3. It should then fade in beautifully with your preset! You can then draw underneath on your colour layer.

I'm sure this will help a lot of people.

Not sure if this will work on firealpaca (what I use) though, oh well XD
