   Ever since the update every single player character including myself is a clear model except the eyes, and the items they wear are invisible! Is this the fault of my (old) computer or my game?

   Try turning off the glow effects in your Settings in the game.
   
   What rendering system have you selected in the start up menu? And can you provide contents of your Ogre.log file
