    Wait, so did you find the solution? I'm having the same error on a new Windows 10 laptop. I downloaded the C++ thing (not the Directx or whatever because I didn't see a download link for Windows 10 on there ... but I don't think that's the issue anyway).

    The only problem is, I have Windows 10 and I can't seem to find any direct download for DirectX for Windows 10. Maybe they haven't came out with it yet, I don't know.

    I hear it's meant to come with the computer, to fix this I downloaded feralheart which seemed to auto update me to the newest version.
