So, I downloaded the Installer through the downloads page.
It downloaded completely, but then when I actually try to click the DOA icon on my desktop and play it..this pops up:

You need to download DirectX, you can find a link to it on the download page.

    I tried to download DirectX.
It redirected me to the Microsoft page to download it, but I didn't know which to choose.
And yet, no matter which one I did choose, it said none of them were for my computer.

Well DirectX 9 is the one you need, Microsoft keeps hiding the download for it so

Well, after a bit of searching, I finally found DirectX 9..but it says my version of Windows is too new to be compatible with it.

Does your game folder have RenderSystem_Direct3D9.dll in it?

If you do then I'd try just updating the drivers for your graphics card.

I'm having the same issue on a new Windows 10 laptop.

I searched up the file, and I have RenderSystem_Direct3D9.dll and RenderSystem_GL.dll in the "game" folder.

If I could play this on a Mac computer using a cracked Windows 7 thing with under 1 GB left, then I should be able to play it on a brand new computer ...

I'm also having the same problem. Trying to play the game on my mom's laptop while away from home. Any more suggestions? :/
