For those who can't download the installer

    This is an alternative for those who can't download the full installer due to integrity errors, unstable connection, file blocked etc.

    Download this:
    http://updater.dawn-of-eternity.com/doe_minimal.rar

    Then extract the folder and put it somewhere where you have write permission, I would recommend C:\Dawn of Eternity or directly on your desktop.
    After you've extracted it you should run Dawn Of Eternity.exe, it will take a lot longer than the normal download so you'll have to wait a bit.

    The game will start once it's done. If it gets stuck or you accidentally shut it down just run Dawn Of Eternity.exe again and it'll start from where it left off.

    No, anywhere where it can write files. You can just put it anywhere, if it doesn't work then it probably doesn't have permission.

    For some odd reason when I run the game , nothing shows up just _.After that, Norton internet security thought it was a virus.Could you help me with this?

    Its not a virus. Best bet is to disable Norton, unless you already have a virus?? idk

    File refuses to download fully. :L
    Itll download 0.5, then just stop downloading. Ive tried five times now to download the alternative. Each outcome is the same.

    It only downloads 0.5MB or what? If you're on wifi try moving closer to your router or connecting through cable.

    Shoot i wanna play the game... but i can't cuz I'm on a mac... my desktop pc doesn't work, its old and slow and hasn't been updated in 15 years... ;;

    I can only get it to download 1.1MB of the file now. We do not have a cable that plugs into the laptop though, So I connot try the second method.

    hiya, i figured out how to extract it, but when i run dawn of eternity.exe it still gives me the error so i must be doing something wrong. the instructions aren't really clear to me..

    oh ok sorry, i don't exactly get what i'm supposed to be doing because the instructions aren't too clear to me. i used winzip to extract it, and when i open the folder and go to click the file a black box pops up and goes away, then nothing happens. am I doing something wrong, is it the program i'm using, or is something wrong with my computer?
    i'll post screenshots later if you want, just didn't want to go mess around with it atm

    EDIT: Okay, I think I know what's going on here
    I unzipped it using a program online, and ran the exe, and now it says it's not a valid win32 application. I found out how to fix it so I should be all set.


    this is what it says, i got a small screenshot of it and was able to figure out what it said:
    "Cannot open self C:\Users\sony\Desktop\doe_minimal (1)\Dawn of Eternity\CORRUPT. Dawn of Eternity.exe or archive C:\Users\sony\Desktop\doe_minimal (1)\Dawn of Eternity\CORRUPT.Dawn of Eternity.pkg
    note: it says "CORRUPT" because Winzip wouldn't let me unzip the whole thing for some reason. i did some studying and my theory is that it won't unzip the whole thing, that being the problem, but I could be wrong
