Trying to add clouds to map

    I'm trying to add clouds to a map using sky settings,

    but this error keeps showing up.

    sky.txt is in the folder

    Does anyone know how to get around this error?

    If I recal right all that sky code needs to be in the WORLD file, not its own text file.

    also your sky file is not saved correctly, you need to go Save As > Save as Type: All files.

    So, for instance, if you wanted to create a world file you'd go: [Mapnamehere].WORLD then hit save. You must, at the end of your map name, type .WORLD!

    yea you could try putting it into the existing world file, I just used world as an example!

    but I think candle was on the right track if she was creating her own sky that hadn't been implemented into the game yet, sometimes I do that with new textures for water (.MATERIAL file in that instance) or even adding particles.

    I feel all that sky junk is part of the code, it's all just numbers in the codes of maps I see.
    I hope that isn't a FeralHeart Sky file candle has though, I don't think that's compatable.

    I did try putting all the stuff in sky.txt into the world file. While it doesn't crash the game, it doesn't show up either. The strangest part is that the sky works in Alpine Mountains, and the whole sky thing is lifted from the Alpine Mountains files.

    The sky seems to be in a text document for Alpine Mountains and the .WORLD file showed this for the sky settings.

    I was digging around the forum and you did have the right idea, however I have no clue what the conflict seems to be.

    I wish I knew who made Alpine Mountains so I could ask how they did it but sadly I don't.

    hm. no idea why it's not working tbh. try just making a new text file for your map's sky and copy/paste the settings from Alpine's sky file to the new one.

    Unfortunately it gives the same error shown in the first post :O

    I also tried copy and pasting Odium's sky. It also gives that same error message.

    I think I solved the case!

    Do you have both

    [Sky]
    0
    0.1 0.1 0.1
    23

    AND

    [SkySettings]
    sky.txt

    in your world file at the same time?
    That could be your problem

    You need both.

    I mean thats what i thought you lot were doing, looking at other map codes to see if you can mimic it onto your own.
    I think we have about 4 or so maps with clouds no? one of them had to help X3

    The error message still appears even though I tried including both in the .WORLD file o_O

    I wonder if that error message is exclusive to my computer or other people will get it too.

    P.S: sky.txt is lifted straight from Odium since that's the one with the most misty looking weather.
    Do not wander around the map if you are afraid of spiders! Use a larger character to explore the map too, I'm not sure how the smaller characters will deal with the spongy looking ground.
